NEW YORK, NY (March 1, 2023)—The Open Space Institute (OSI) joins the environmental community in mourning the loss of Robin Dropkin, who served as the Executive Director of Parks and Trails New York (PTNY). For more than a decade Robin was OSI’s unfailing partner as PTNY and OSI worked together to elevate parks, raise awareness of their needs, and build new constituencies to support them. Her legacy of improving access to the outdoors for New Yorkers is written in the parks, trails, and open spaces that are now thriving because of her tireless advocacy, spirit of collaboration and love of nature.
