As the William Penn Foundation considered how to expand their grant making strategy to protect and improve water quality across the 15,000 square mile Delaware River Basin, they approached OSI to develop a strategic direction. Working in partnership with the Academy of Natural Sciences, the Foundation staff, and regional and local experts, OSI reviewed the stressors impacting water quality and the capacity of organizations on the ground to protect and improve it. This report documented the findings of this work, and set the stage for the William Penn Foundation’s $35 million investment in the Basin in 2014.
