In 2017, OSI and Saratoga PLAN partnered to create the Southern Palmertown Range Community Conservation and Recreation Strategy. The Strategy is a road map to protect the section of the Adirondack Foothills that runs from the northern edge of Saratoga County to the City of Saratoga Springs and establish a 13-mile recreation corridor connecting Moreau Lake and Saratoga Spa State Parks. The project aims to support healthy communities, spark economic development, and protect natural resources in the region.

Since the Strategy was created, OSI has protected four parcels of land instrumental to the development of the recreation corridor, a community Outreach Coordinator has been hired to help implement the plan, and the project has received more than $550,000 in grants to continue conservation and trail work.

Now, OSI is partnering with Saratoga PLAN and the Saratoga Film Academy to debut an incredible four-part video series about the Southern Palmertown Range Conservation Initiative. Watch the trailer to learn more!
