The increasing rates of violence, physical abuse, and harassment against members of our nation’s Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities are abhorrent and must be condemned. Degrading and hate-filled language that fuels such actions is dangerous and equally deplorable.
The Open Space Institute stands with all people of Asian descent who, like all Americans, deserve to live their lives free of fear and intimidation, whether they be in public spaces, local businesses, or simply walking down the street. We call upon all Americans to stand up against prejudice, hatred, and intolerance as we strive for a society built on inclusivity, equality, and respect.
