Visitors to South Carolina’s beloved Botany Bay Plantation Heritage Preserve and Wildlife Management Area are treated to a strikingly majestic sight: the iconic, centuries-old oaks that tower along the preserve’s entrance.
In 2022, OSI’s resolute efforts to secure the entrance property has not only helped safeguard one of the most beloved and heavily visited nature preserves in South Carolina, but also protected approximately 50 acres of forested wetlands that support water quality and pristine reptile and amphibian habitat.
